Build REV12 with us.

Penn Electric Racing's first four-wheel-drive car in eight years. 2026-27 partners get Penn engineering talent, national visibility, and a race-proven test bed.

The short version.

Who we are

Penn's Formula SAE Electric team. 123 students who design, build, and race an electric car every year.

New hardware

Driving all four wheels means more motors, more gearing, and a heavier load on the battery and cooling.

Deeper control software

Torque has to be split across four wheels in real time. That takes new controls work and far more testing.

Tighter execution

Every subsystem has to land on schedule. It raises the bar for the car and for how the team works.

Partners who join now are tied to the launch of our first 4WD car since 2019. This is the year to get in early.

What REV12 needs.

Cash funds the build. Parts, machine time, and software cut what it costs. Here is where each kind of help lands on the car.

Funding

Cash pays for what donated parts can't: motor controllers, battery cells, testing days, and getting the team and the car to Michigan. It's the most flexible support there is, and it goes straight into the 4WD build.

Something missing? Email the team and we'll reply.

Is our gift tax-deductible?

Cash gifts are made to the University of Pennsylvania for Penn Electric Racing, and Penn issues the receipt. Tell us what your finance team needs and we'll get you the paperwork.

Can we give parts, services, or software instead of cash?

Yes. Many of our partners support us with discounts, materials, machine time, or software licenses. See what REV12 needs to find where your help fits.

How do we send a payment or ship parts?

Email us and we'll send payment instructions. Parts can ship to Penn Electric Racing, 229 Towne Building, 220 South 33rd Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104.

When do we need to commit for our logo to make the car?

Logos go on the car before the REV12 unveiling, so earlier is better. Reach out now and we'll confirm the current deadline and size your placement.

Can we recruit from the team or host an event?

Yes. Tier 1 partners get resume book access and invitations to workshops and competition. Any partner can host a panel, workshop, or site visit with us.

Who will we work with?

A member of our business team is your point of contact all season. We also connect you with the subsystem that uses your support, so you hear from the engineers directly.

Let's build REV12 together.

Send one email. We'll set up a short call and send a proposal built around your goals.
